Age & Consent Policy
Veyora is for adults aged 21 and over — no exceptions. This policy explains why, how we check, and what happens if someone lies about their age.
Last updated
1. The short version
- You must be at least 21 years old to create or use a Veyora account.
- You must give a truthful date of birth at signup.
- Suspected underage accounts are flagged by AI and reviewed, and removed if confirmed.
- Lying about your age is a serious breach of our Terms and may be unlawful.
- All interactions must be between consenting adults.
2. Why Veyora is 21+
Most dating apps set their minimum age at 18. We deliberately set ours higher, at 21, because Veyora is built around real-world meeting, privacy, and safety. A 21+ community aligns with the age of majority for adult activities in many jurisdictions, sets clearer expectations of maturity and accountability, and helps us keep the environment focused on genuine adult connection. It also reinforces our safety model: fewer edge cases, and a firmer line against anyone who does not belong here.
3. The age requirement
By using Veyora, you represent and warrant that:
- you are at least 21 years of age (or older, if your jurisdiction sets a higher age of majority);
- the date of birth you provide is accurate and yours;
- you are legally permitted to use an adult dating service where you live; and
- you will not help, invite, or permit anyone under 21 to access Veyora through your account or otherwise.
4. How we verify age
We use a combination of measures to keep Veyora adults-only:
- Age gate at signup. You enter your date of birth and must confirm you are 21 or older before you can continue. Anyone whose date of birth indicates they are under 21 is blocked from proceeding.
- Automated detection. Accounts suspected of being underage are flagged by our systems, including AI signals, for review.
- Identity & selfie verification. Verification steps (such as phone and selfie verification) add further assurance that members are real adults.
- Manual review. Our safety team reviews flags and member reports and can request additional verification or remove accounts.
Your date of birth is used only to confirm eligibility and is never displayed publicly. See the Privacy Policy for how we handle this data.
5. Consent between adults
Everything on Veyora must be consensual. Consent is enthusiastic, specific, informed, and revocable — it can be withdrawn at any time. Silence, a lack of resistance, or a previous interaction is not consent. No member is ever obligated to share content, information, or their location, or to meet or continue a conversation. Pressuring, coercing, or ignoring someone’s boundaries violates our Community & Safety Guidelines and may be unlawful.
6. Consequences of misrepresentation
Misrepresenting your age — whether you are under 21 posing as an adult, or an adult helping a minor gain access — is a serious violation. Consequences include:
- immediate and permanent removal of the account and its data;
- a permanent ban from Veyora;
- referral to law enforcement or child-safety authorities where required or appropriate; and
- preservation and disclosure of relevant records as permitted or required by law.
Any content that sexualises or endangers a minor results in an immediate ban and, where required, a report to the relevant authorities. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material.
7. Reporting a suspected minor
If you believe someone on Veyora is under 21, report them in the app or email us at safety@joinveyora.com. Reports are confidential and reviewed promptly. Please include any detail that helps us investigate.
8. For parents & guardians
Veyora is not intended for anyone under 21 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account or provided us information, contact privacy@joinveyora.com and we will remove the account and delete the data. We encourage families to use device-level parental controls to keep young people off adult services.
